Why Going Dairy Free Makes Sense

Although many of us get our vitamin D and calcium from dairy products, there are actually several good reasons to switch to a dairy free diet plan. Eliminating dairy products can avoid various health issues, including acne, headaches and even prostrate cancer. Many dairy products actually contain more fat than many of us think, and eliminating dairy products is a lot healthier as it cuts that fat out of our diet. Some butter and cheese, for example, has a fat content of around 70 percent. If your cholesterol levels are too high, it can benefit you to avoid dairy products, as eating fruits and vegetables instead of dairy products means enjoying a cholesterol free diet. And making the move to dairy free also means that if you’re lactose intolerant, you’ll have fewer problems and will be better able to ingest minerals and nutrients.
