Of the various types of models, one of the most prestigious is the editorial model. Editorial models are used in narrative pictorials; that is, a string of pictures that are joined by a common narrative. They are used to tell a short story. Because it shows a little more of the model’s ability to emote and act with no words, such a shoot is seen as a feather in the model’s cap.

As the shoot requires a lot more preparation than a regular shoot, especially given the number of costume and scene changes, as well as location shoots, this makes the shoot far more challenging than a regular shoot, only adding to its prestige.
