Disc Golf Events Around The World

The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) estimates that as many as 12 million people have played at least one round of disc golf. At the pro end of the sport it is highly competitive, with regular tournaments offering prize money in excess of $80,000 to the winner.

International, professional and amateur disc golf events are common place worldwide, with tournaments scheduled in Australia, UK, Denmark, Norway, Brazil, Estonia, Thailand and Taiwan, to compliment the majors in the United States and Canada.

The Open World Championships is the crowning glory each year. This blue ribbon event was first held back in 1982 for men and a year later for women. It takes place annually at different venues across the States. Other high profile tournaments are the men’s and women’s Masters and Grandmasters Open Championships. There are also prestigious Seniors and Legends events held throughout the year.
