Retail stores are great money-makers, and a lot of groups and organizations have realized that it’s an outstanding way to share their own messaging while earning some income. If you want to set up a shop for your school, you’ll need two important things. First, you need merchandise. Second, you need reliable workers.

The merchandise should be both specialized and general. Potential shoppers will be looking for basic supplies that they may need while at school, including notebooks and papers and pens and pencils. You can also make some money selling snacks and beverages. Introduce some merchandise that shows off school spirit as well. Examples might include clothing, mugs, and posters.

Once you have the necessary inventory, your school store will need workers. Current and past students may be willing to work there. Offer jobs to parents and members of the community as well.
