Occupant Counting To Fight Covid

One of the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic has been an increase in occupant counting, at restaurants, public spaces and stores. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a system of counting the occupants in a building or public space, to limit the numbers of people. One effective way to prevent the spread of Corona virus is to maintain space between people; typically 6 feet is recommended. Limiting the number of occupants to say, 30, 50 or 60 percent of full capacity allows effective social distancing to take place. Counting the number of people entering and leaving a store or other building can be done by posting someone at the door and have them simply count the number of people entering and leaving. A hand held electronic device can also be used, and regardless of the method, it’s an important weapon in the ongoing fight against Covid.
