With the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic it’s become difficult to have birthday parties in real life sometimes. Virtual birthday parties are a way to celebrate a birthday without the birthday party guests having to be physically present. These types of birthday parties are particularly good for young children who might have trouble understanding why their special day is not being celebrated.
To celebrate a virtual birthday you’ll need to get all the guests to use a video sharing app (like Zoom or FaceTime) and have them log in at the same time. You should make an effort to decorate the birthday celebrant’s location especially well and then find creative ways for the birthday guests to participate in activities together. Some apps enable remote users to play games together, for example, or you can find birthday companies that will offer a clown or magician to perform over video link.
