If you’re asking yourself how to help healthcare workers during the pandemic, there are some simple yet appreciated things. There continues to be a blood shortage, and donating blood helps healthcare workers and everyone else. Some charities support hospitals, and donating to them can help first responders and others. Donating supplies or delivering free food to your local hospital is easy to do and is much appreciated. Many healthcare workers are parents and offering to pay for their childcare for them can also be a big help, as can paying for parking for doctors and nurses in areas where it’s costly. If a nurse or doctor lives in your neighborhood, offering to pick up their groceries or cooking them a meal is a great way to say thanks. And if you can’t do any of the above, simply giving a shout out on social media says a lot.
