Wound care is an important skill that all people should learn. It is easy to care for cuts, scrapes or abrasions at home by using clean and proper dressings and a good antiseptic cream. This cream will ensure that the wound does not become infected.
To begin with, thoroughly wash the wound to remove any dirt or debris. Dry the wound by gently patting the area with a clean towel. Apply a little bit of the cream but do not use too much, a pea-sized amount is sufficient.
After the cream is applied cover the wound with a clean bandage or gauze and use medical tape to hold it in place. Do not tape the wound too tightly as this may cut off blood circulation to the area. You should start to notice the wound healing within two or three days.
