Of the biggest concerns for veterans is finding stable, well paid employment that takes advantage of the skills and experience they have gained whilst serving their country in the military. Following are some of the best careers for veterans:
• Healthcare – this profession offers promising career paths in hospital operations and logistics, registered nursing and medical research among others.
• Government or Public Administration – the leadership skills that veterans learn while serving in the military can find application in jobs in administration and public affairs.
• Defense Contracting – defense contractors develop materials and products that aid in national defense. Many veterans use the skills they have acquired to become analysts, contract management specialists and quality assurance managers for defense contractors.
