Your journey into the world of professional scuba diving begins at the PADI divemaster training course. Working under the direction of a highly trained PADI instructor, you refine your skills and learn more about diving in this course. You will also become familiar with the types of diving equipment available and how to operate the equipment while underwater. You will also learn water safety procedures and may also receive instruction on rescue operations and emergency medical treatment procedures.
Once you have completed your PADI training, you will need to spend approximately five years in an approved scuba diving center before you can become certified as a professional scuba diver. This certification will cover all areas of scuba diving and will require you to pass many tests.
If you are interested in diving but do not want to go through the training process at a school that offers PADI certification, you can find affordable lessons online. The most popular method of learning diving online involves taking courses from a PADI approved online course or learning from a video that will walk you through the techniques needed to be an excellent diver.
