There are no specific qualifications needed, although you’ll need some photographic skill, and should be comfortable taking exterior and interior shots in different types of lighting. You’ll need to be well organized and have some technical knowledge, as these days most photos are uploaded, edited and posted online. And you’ll almost certainly need to have your own reliable transportation to get between sites, and a good knowledge of your local area is a plus. This type of photography can potentially be quite lucrative if you make it a full time career, although it can also be a source of extra income and if you work for yourself, you can generally work as little or as much as you need to.
