One of the best places to scuba dive anywhere in the world is the Federated States of Micronesia. This small country in the Pacific Ocean is comprised of over 600 islands, and many of them offer what many experts consider to be unsurpassed diving. Divers are attracted by the clear blue waters, the several shallow and picturesque reefs, and the many options for diving in channels, tunnels and drop-offs. There are several WW II wrecks scattered throughout the area on the sea bed, and divers can also expect to see a variety of sea life, including manta rays, sharks and scorpion fish. Diving is popular year round, although the summer montha see less rain. It’s difficult to choose a few diving highlights in Micronesia, although a few not to be missed spots include the spectacular coral peninsula at Blue Corner in Palau, the tunnels at Yap Caverns and the caverns in Palau’s Chandelier Cave.
